Sun's flexible iWork program outshines peers

Sun Microsystems has apparently seen the benefits of creating flexible work arrangements and virtual offices. As outlined in this Workforce Management article, Sun's progressive iWork program is not simply a perk offered to some employees, but rather the way work is being done at the company by most of its employees. And everyone seems to win.
With about 80 percent of its workforce of about 20,000 in the United States and Canada connecting to the company remotely, its slogan "Everyone and everything connected to the Net" isn’t just marketing hype... The program has boosted employee satisfaction, reduced turnover and saved the company $255 million on real estate over the past four years.
