On the Beach -- former law partner, corporate attorney, and financial services executive Rick Lavin's new workplace looks quite a bit different from his former downtown Boston office. Lavin "turned in his briefcase" in 2004, took a self-imposed "sabbatical" with his family on Cape Cod during the summer of 2005, and now works as principal of his own residential real estate development firm, Goodheart Properties, in Truro. Lavin admits he had "lost his enthusiasm for being a senior executive in a large company." He added that he "knew it was time to reinvent myself."
