US employers added only 80,000 jobs in June, the third straight month of weak hiring and a setback for the campaign to reelect President Obama, who has been criticized by rivals for his handling of the nation’s economy. Job creation has slowed since the beginning of the year, the Labor Department said Friday, with a monthly average of just 75,000 new jobs added from April through June, one-third of the pace in the first three months of the year.
