NORTHEAST HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATION WINS SHRM PINNACLE AWARD FOR PARTNERSHIP WITH BOSTONWORKS

Scholarship Established to Cultivate the Future of Nursing

BOSTON, MA - November 15, 2006 - "NEHRA: The Voice of HR" on BostonWorks.com's Hiring Hub has been awarded the prestigious Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Pinnacle Award. Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), New England's premier human resources association, teamed up with BostonWorks, Boston's leading recruitment services provider, three years ago to create this interactive site that serves the Greater Boston and New England HR community.

The SHRM Pinnacle Awards Program, sponsored by ADP, recognizes excellence in human resource management. The Pinnacle Award was established in 1991 to promote the outstanding achievements and contributions of HR professionals. This year's eight winners were selected from more than 570 SHRM chapters and 52 state councils nationwide.

NEHRA president-elect Dan Henry accepted the award at the 2006 SHRM Leadership Conference on November 10. With the award comes $1,000 and national recognition for outstanding achievement.

"Over the past three years, the in-depth, original content on "NEHRA: The Voice of HR" has benefited thousands of HR professionals," said Henry. "The NEHRA/BostonWorks relationship is the result of creative thinking and collaboration between two leaders in the field of human resources."

"It is an honor to be recognized with this prestigious award," said Jason Kissell, managing director of BostonWorks. "Our collaboration with NEHRA allows BostonWorks to serve as a valuable resource to HR professionals on timely topics."

Since September 2003, NEHRA members have provided original content featured in "NEHRA: The Voice of HR" section of Hiring Hub. With over a quarter million page views to date averaging 2,000 page views weekly, Hiring Hub heralds the NEHRA Events Calendar, photo galleries and coverage of major NEHRA events such as dinners and awards. More than 60 original articles written by NEHRA members have been published on a broad range of HR topics, including benefits and compensation, diversity, employment and immigration law, hiring, recruiting and retention, HR technology, and workforce development.

In addition to feature articles, "Ask the HR Expert" provides an interactive way for executive level HR experts to address timely questions on six topic areas - Benefits & Compensation, Diversity, Employment & Immigration Law, Ethics & Issues, Recruiting & Retention and Workforce Development. Nineteen NEHRA members with expertise across a range of human resources topics field questions asked by the HR community.

Other features on "NEHRA: The Voice of HR" include "Workplace Tips," a resource for HR professionals tackling a new problem or tackling a problem in a new way and NEHRA e-surveys reporting on the latest HR trends. A comprehensive NEHRA events calendar is featured on the site as well as photo galleries for major NEHRA events. Special reports highlight how current affairs impact human resources. For example, in "NEHRA leaders reflect on the workplace post 9/11," HR leaders discussed challenges to organizations since the 2001 terror attacks.

"The Pinnacle Awards represent the highest achievement in the HR profession. The winners demonstrate how to leverage human capital to maximize organizational success," said Susan R. Meisinger, SPHR, president and CEO of SHRM. "It is with great pride that we acknowledge the dedication and achievements of this year's winners."
