The mission of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is to serve our patients compassionately and effectively, and to create a healthy future for them and their families. Whether you are referred to the medical center for specialty care, diagnostic testing, outpatient treatment or admission, Beth Israel Deaconess staff will work closely with you and your doctor to coordinate your care. Under your doctor's guidance, the staff will share and discuss tests, specialists' opinions, treatment options and recommended next steps. This ongoing communication among you, your doctor and Beth Israel Deaconess staff results in the high quality of care that you deserve.

Patients come to our medical center from around the corner and around the world. But we feel our obligation to provide access to care goes beyond our front doors.

For instance, our network includes community-based primary care physicians in 30 communities throughout eastern Massachusetts. We also operate regional medical care facilities in Chelsea and Lexington, and work with hundreds of other physicians throughout the region who choose to refer patients to a Beth Israel Deaconess specialist for care.
