Jennifer is a long term home care nurse (3+yrs) for 5 year-old who wasn't suppose to live past 8 months.. She now attends preschool with him online, goes the extra mile to ensure that his medically-fragile body remains as healthy as it can. She treats him like a person instead of a person that can't move a muscle (quadriplegic). She has given him the will to live. She has outlasted 7 nurses. He has no words because of his trach but he does communicate through his eyes only to Jennifer and his Mom. He only trusts two people to care for him, Jennifer and his Mom. Having someone in your house 40+ hrs a week is difficult. Jennifer has to constantly adjust to the rest of the family's lifestyle, which she does at ease. Please consider Jennifer for this much deserved, wonderful award.
