Just bead it

For crafty folks, today's Bead Affaire is a great place to buy beads and "borrow" jewelry ideas. As for folks with 10 thumbs (like us), they can simply admire the beautiful beads (like Beth Williams's silk heart bead with gold granules, below) and scoop up gorgeous necklaces, earrings, and other beaded bling. More than 50 local and national glass bead artists and vendors will set up shop at the Armenian Cultural Center; work by the Women's Craft Cooperative of Rosie's Place is also for sale. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission $6 (a portion of the admission will be donated to the Women's Craft Cooperative of Rosie's Place).
