SHOPPING FOR A CAUSE Designer Consignor in Hingham hosts a shopping day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to benefit Hope in Bloom, a nonprofit that plants gardens free of charge throughout Massachusetts at the homes of residents undergoing breast cancer treatment. The shop, which carries high-end secondhand clothing, jewelry, shoes, and handbags at prices well below original retail, will donate 25 percent of the day’s sales to Hope in Bloom. There will also be refreshments and raffles for prizes from Winston Flowers, Kennedy’s Country Gardens, Artisans in the Square, La Petite Maison, and others. ART SIDEWALK SALE The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston hosts its annual spring sidewalk sale tomorrow and Saturday. Hundreds of pieces including photos, ceramics, paintings, drawings, jewelry, T-shirts, and more will be on offer for prices starting at around $5. A portion of the sale’s proceeds will go to Food Not Bombs, which serves free vegan meals in Boston and Cambridge.
