Coolidge Corner will be awash in discounts on Saturday and Sunday, as businesses take part in a neighborhood-wide sidewalk sale. Just a small sample of deals: Mint Julep (1302 Beacon St., Brookline, 617-232-3600, www.shopmintjulep.com) will have summer and past seasons’ dresses, handbags, and more from Milly, Nanette Lepore, and others for $10-$80; The Pear Tree (1298 Beacon St., Brookline, 617-277-9330, www.thepeartreeofbrookline.com) will have select jewelry (pictured) marked down 50-70 percent and all beads, clasps, and stringing material (for jewelry making) marked down 20 percent; Magic Beans (312 Harvard St., Brookline, 617-264-2326, www.mbeans.com) will have Britax car seats at 25 percent off, along with a table of sale items. Other participants include (but are not limited to) Prikidz, Healthworks, and Melt Bath & Skincare.

END OF SUMMER SALE Davis Square boutique Suneri is in the midst of an end-of-summer sale, with a nice mix of understated and more adventurous pieces marked down at least 30 percent. The selection includes well-known names such as Ronen Chen and Mystree along with emerging local and international designers. We liked the bold floral-print tops and dresses from Magalí Corzo and the restrained, nicely detailed linen dresses from Alena. Other names include Yoana Baraschi, Byron Lars Beauty Mark, and Selah D’or. The sale should run through Labor Day. Suneri is at 67 Holland St., Somerville, 617-440-3559. www.shopsuneri.com

MORE AT COOLIDGE CORNER Two more Coolidge Corner sales: Simons Shoes (282 Harvard St., Brookline, 617-277-8980, www.simonsshoes.com) has just kicked off its semi-annual sale, with spring and summer styles from Clarks, Dansko, Camper, Ecco, Naot, and others marked down at least 40 percent. The sale will run through Aug. 28. Up the street, consignment shop Encore Exchange (318 Harvard St., Brookline, 617-566-4544, www.encoreexchange.biz) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a 25 percent discount on clothing, furs, and accessories and a 10 percent discount on jewelry (mostly vintage and costume) through the end of the month. Brands now in-store include St. John, Escada, Cole Haan, Kate Spade, and Burberry.

GIVE AND RECEIVE Next Tuesday through Saturday (Aug. 23-27), children’s clothing and gift shop Colorwheel Collection will be offering a 20 percent-off coupon in return for a donated item for the Home for Little Wanderers’ annual backpack drive. Accepted items include new pens and pencils, crayons, lined notebooks, and backpacks (with lots of pockets); find a complete list at www.thehome.org/backpacks The coupon can be used toward books and new fall clothing and gear from Zutano, Huggy Bunny, P’kolino, Oré Originals, and others. Though the coupon will be handed out for just a few days, the store will be accepting donations through Sept. 28. Colorwheel Collection is at 4266 Washington St., Roslindale, 617-553-8275. www.colorwheelcollection.com
