5 minute DIY: Jute-wrapped vases from DIY Boston Night
![]()
In our Kickstart Kits, we gave everyone a piece of glassware from Goodwill or a neon duct tape-trimmed aluminum can and about 8 yards of jute twine. Glue guns were ready to go to secure the jute to the containers (we suggested gluing at 4 points on the first and last row wrapped, and twice on each row in the middle, alternating placements so the glue wasn't all in one spot).

With such a straightforward project, everyone made each piece their own. From glitter gluing and stencil monograms to creative wrapping and embroidery floss spring scenes, the crafters got creative. Since we encouraged people to bring "PhDs" (projects half done), Mr. & Mrs. Bates even made an appearance!

Thanks to everyone who came out! Stay tuned for more details on the next DIY Boston Night on April 18th where we'll be crafting with t-shirts!
