Get up -- go out! 4 Boston-area weekend events
So much to do, so little time -- and so many event listings and Facebook invites to comb through! Lucky for you, we here at TNGG Boston can also fill in as your social planners. Each week, we’ll feature a few weekend events we think you should check out.* If you know of an upcoming event that might appeal to our audience, email boston@tngg.co with the details.

Thursday, Nov. 10: Urban Insanity. Urbanity Dance “aspires to push the limits of contemporary dance technique, striving to inspire audiences with its edgy artistry and startling unpredictability of movement,” according to their website. They’re taking over Ned Devine’s for the night and previewing their fall revue, Between the Lines. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door and include drinks and appetizers. When and Where: 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. @ Ned Devine’s Irish Pub (Faneuil Hall Marketplace/Quincy Market Building).
Friday, Nov. 11-Sunday, Nov. 13: Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair. Listen up, bibliophiles, bookworms, and anyone else who enjoys digging through bookstore shelves and stacks: “One of the oldest and most respected antiquarian book shows in the country” hits Boston this weekend. The fair includes over 120 rare book dealers from around the world, a series of talks, and other events throughout the city. And if you’re not looking for yourself, remember that the holidays are just around the corner, and it’s never too early to start gift shopping! When and Where: Friday 5 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m.-5 p.m. @ Hynes Convention Center (900 Boylston St., Back Bay).
Friday, Nov. 11: 11 Comics for $11. The Boston Comedy Festival runs through Saturday, but Nick’s Comedy Stop is offering a Friday night festival of their own in honor of 11/11/11. An $11 ticket gets you into this show featuring Peter Bowers, Dan Crohn, Ryan Clauson, Kate Ghiloni, Tony Moschetto, Will Noonan, Mike O’Brien, Nick Peine, Jean Paul Rivera, and more. When and Where: 8:30 p.m. @ Nick’s Comedy Stop (100 Warrenton St., Theatre District).
Sunday, Nov. 13: Secret. “Sundays aren’t for resting anymore,” says Secret, ZuZu’s bi-monthly club night featuring DJ Diver and DJ DR ASHER. Take that advice and start your week off with a night out, then get up early for work or class; the lack of sleep will build character (or something like that). If you’re over 21, $4 gets you in. When and Where: 10 p.m. @ ZuZu (474 Mass Ave., Central Square).
What are you up to this weekend?
