spiral calendar.pngSo much to do, so little time -- and so many event listings and Facebook invites to comb through! Lucky for you, we here at TNGG Boston can also fill in as your social planners. Each week, we’ll feature a few weekend events we think you should check out.* If you know of an upcoming event that might appeal to our audience, email boston@tngg.co with the details.

*Note: TNGG is not receiving compensation of any kind to promote these events. We just think they sound like fun!

Thursday, April 19-Sunday, April 22: Boston International Film Festival. The BIFF has been in full swing since last Friday night, but don’t worry if you're just finding out now; you’ve still got until the end of this weekend to see a number of films from local, national, and international filmmakers. Pick a session or two to attend, or grab an all-access pass and hit up as many screenings as you can before the festival packs up until next year. When and Where: Various times @ AMC Loews Boston Common 19 (175 Tremont St.).

Thursday, April 19: Boston Beta Third Edition. “New England’s premier startup mixer” is back for another event, bringing together “founders, hackers, students, investors, designers, visionaries, enthusiasts, [and] media professionals.” This time around, attendees are in for a night of networking and demos from 16 local startups, one of which will be crowned the “People’s Choice” winner. When and Where: 6 p.m.-9 p.m. @ Microsoft NERD Center (One Memorial Dr., Kendall Square).

Friday, April 20-Saturday, April 21: Wine Riot Boston. Join Boston’s very own Second Glass for the ultimate wine tasting event. A celebration of all things vino, each of the three sessions will feature 250 wines from around the world, a DJ, a photo booth, food from local establishments, and plenty of other awesomeness. When and Where: Friday, 7 p.m.-11 p.m., and Saturday, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and 7 p.m.-11 p.m. @ Park Plaza Castle (50 Arlington St., Back Bay).

Sunday, April 22: Celebrate Earth Day. Spend a little time doing something to help the planet! If you don’t mind getting a little dirty in your efforts, take part in the 13th annual Charles River Cleanup. Or, if you’d rather remain oblivious to what’s living in and around that "dirty water," head to the Common and help The Nature Conservancy in its attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest global picnic. Apart from the warm and fuzzy you’ll get from helping the planet, remember that going green and being environmentally conscious is very en vogue right now. When and Where: Charles River Cleanup: 9 a.m.-noon @ various sites along the Charles River. Picnic for the Planet: noon-3 p.m. @ Boston Common Frog Pond.
