Will the fire in Mrs. Prothero’s kitchen burn the house down? Will the Christmas tree fit into the house without a hole cut in the roof? And who sent young Dylan that mysterious package? Does this sound like your neighborhood? It’s Swansea, Wales, in 1923, and the story is “A Child’s Christmas in Wales’’ presented by Boston Playwrights’ Theatre and Boston Children’s Theatre. Playwright and director Burgess Clark adapted the Dylan Thomas poem. Today at 4 and 8 p.m. (through Dec. 23). $35, $28 students.
