Street smart is the name of the game at the new Newton clothing store Half-Way Crooks, the brainchild of high school students Julianne and Andrew Adams. The brother and sister took the name of their shop, geared toward guys and gals age 16 to 30, from lyrics in the Mobb Deep hip-hop single "Shook Ones Pt. II." The siblings describe their inventory as a "convergence of high class and urbanity" - we told you they were smart. Popular items include multicolored rugbys, hoodies, and crews, as well as a Jungle Cat T-shirt ($40) that's making a wild impression with customers. Today's hours are 3-8 p.m. Half-Way Crooks, 212 Sumner St., Newton. 617-827-3863. half-waycrooks.com
