Film industry folks and local scenesters flocked to the Liberty Hotel Monday night after attending the Boston premiere of "The Women," for the movie's official after party. "The Women" - an updated version of George Cukor's 1939 film and Clare Booth Luce's stage play, directed and produced by Diane English - is a grown-up chick flick targeted at the "Sex and the City" crowd. And they turned out to celebrate. Gathered on the fifth-floor balcony overlooking the Liberty Hotel's capacious lobby, the mostly female crowd sipped on cocktails while buzzing about the film. Guests were greeted with a Cosmopolitan and sent off with a Saks Fifth Avenue bag filled with goodies. VIP attendees included Mary Chiochios of the Massachusetts Film Office, chef Lydia Shire of Locke-Ober and Scampo, and hotel owner Dick Friedman. - ERICA CORSANO

Who are you wearing? Twenty 8Twelve, Sienna Miller's fashion line; Forever 21; and a vintage necklace from the '70s.
Do you shop a lot of vintage? Yes. I love Cafe Society in Brookline.
Any fashion inspiration from the movie? I love the transformation of Meg Ryan . . . and Annette Bening is just glamorous.
Have you been to this hotel before? Only downstairs, not up here. It is absolutely stunning.
Do you have any favorite hot spots in Boston? In Cambridge, I love Rendezvous.

Sam Berger, 34
Residence: South End
Profession: I'm actually going back to get my MBA.
Great blazer, who are you wearing? Hugo Boss, Diesel, and Puma. I don't know who the jeans are.
I like the blazer with the jeans. Well, that's my go-to.
Any other go-to's for shopping? I really like Alan Bilzerian a lot, but I'm going back to school so you don't really have the cash flow to go to Alan Bilzerian when you're a student. The fallbacks are Marc by Marc Jacobs and Hugo Boss. But I'm not really a brand whore. I just put on whatever feels good.
You mentioned as a student you can't spend as much money on clothes. Any budget secrets? Steal your friends' clothes.

Great shirt. The slight sparkle is great. Thanks, it's Paul and Joe.
You have a really interesting look, how would you describe it? It's sort of rocker. I love that whole New York Dolls meets LA kind of a thing. It's a combination of New York, Boston, and LA. I've worked in all three for so long, I just think that's just what ended up happening.
Any style inspiration from the film? Meg Ryan's extensions. We are going to have a lot of women asking for beautiful locks at the salon.

I really like the graphic print dress, where did you get it? Actually, I borrowed this from my roommate's closet. She's from Los Angeles and she has a lot of great stuff from little boutiques. My shoes are Jessica Simpson. I love Jessica Simpson shoes.
Any other favorites, as far as brands go? BCBG and Michael Kors, when I can afford it.
Where are you a student? Emerson College.
What are you studying? Political speechwriting.
In your opinion who has a great speechwriter in this presidential election? I think they both have great speechwriters but Barack Obama is just so much better at delivering them.
