After-class mixer at the MFA
More than 3,000 local college students flocked to the Museum of Fine Arts Boston last week for the MFA's fourth annual "College Night" to mix, mingle, and explore the museum. But it wasn't all about staring intently at great art and trying to come up with something insightful to say to the willowy blonde BC student standing one painting away. The event featured a concert by college fave St. Vincent (25-year-old Berklee College of Music alum Annie Clark); a text message scavenger hunt; and a screening of the documentary "Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation," an accompaniment to the museum's new exhibit, "Art and Empire: Treasures from Assyria in the British Museum." After taking it all in, a gaggle of arty hipsters unwound by busting some moves at a steamy (but still PG-rated) dance party in the museum's Bravo Restaurant. DJ Ghostdad mixed pop, dance, and alternative tunes including Sean Paul's crowd favorite "Temperature" and "Paper Planes" by M.I.A. We queried a few in the crowd about their style quotient. - ERICA CORSANO

Where are you from? South Korea.
How long have you been here? Four months.
How do you like Boston? When I got here, it looked like Europe. The T is actually the most interesting thing here.
Why? In New York City it was so confusing. Here, it is organized and comfortable.
Are you interested in art? Yes, but it's not my major. I study fashion design in Korea at Seoul Women's University. Mostly fiber craft and clothing design.

Which has better shopping: Seoul or Boston? Here it's better for shopping in general. Korea is better for shoes.
