Last Saturday night, the spacious, dimly lit Vinalia played host to the optimistically named A Leap Into Spring Fashion, an evening of fashion shows presented by Anthem Entertainment. Models decked out in local designers creations touched up backstage while a predominately young, female crowd sipped cocktails and sampled hors doeuvres and complimentary vodka. Proceeds from the night, which also included a raffle and silent auction, benefited the Childrens Trust Fund, a child abuse prevention organization. Style Spy circulated and chatted with some of the stylish folks in attendance.

Your name is Boston, as in the city? Yep. Boston as in Boston.
Who are you with? This is my posse. We're in a band, Boston and Bosco, that works with Anthem. We'll be playing one of their events in March.
I love your shoes. Where are they from? I stole them from my sister. Shoes are huge in my wardrobe. I think these are dangerous for stage, though. I think they're from Aldo.
The dress is great, too. Thanks. This is a stage dress. From H&M.
What kind of music do you guys do? Rock. We do some '80s covers, too, but mostly all rock.
Who are some of your influences? Pat Benatar, AC/DC - I love Bon Scott, and Gwen Stefani.
[Catalano pauses to accept a lemon vodka sample from a server.]
But you guys aren't performing tonight? No, not tonight. Here we're just hanging out.

Job: Electrical worker
What brings you here tonight? My best friend's girlfriend is in the show.
That almost sounds like a song. [laughs] Well, her name is Paloma. That would be a beautiful name for a song, too.
I like the outfit - very classy. What are you wearing? This is an argyle Lacoste sweater, from Macy's. The jeans are Rock & Republic; I bought them at Nordstrom. The shoes are from Aldo.
What would you be doing tonight if you weren't here? That's a tough question. I'd probably be out in Boston somewhere at a bar.
Are there any particular neighborhoods you like to hang out in? I like Southie. Not any one place in particular, but the whole scene.
What's on your iPod right now? That's a tough question, too. I listen to everything. . . . You can put the Fray, "You Found Me." I think that's the name of the song. It's a good one. You can Google it.

It must be nice to know you're working for a good cause. I like the idea that I'm giving 150 percent to an agency I believe in, an agency that's doing good.
I really like your outfit, it reminds me of spring. Thanks. I just put together a few of my favorite pieces. The top is bebe. The skirt is Banana Republic. It makes me think of warmer weather. I wish spring were here.
Your earrings are gorgeous, too, so elegant. They're Chandler Jewelry. Kendall Bretto [Chandler's founder and president] hand-makes a lot of her jewelry. I had the pleasure of working with her for a fashion show.
What's the best movie you've seen lately? "The Family Stone." It's a Christmas movie, but it's funny.

Antonia Louise. Is that Italian? Yes. It's completely Italian.
Do you model regularly? I do this for fun. I got into it to prove to myself that I could do it. Growing up, I was always the fat girl, always the ugly duckling. I'm actually trying to go to school right now - I'm thinking about being a dental assistant or going into criminal justice.
Have you done fashion shows before? This is my first one! I've done some photo shoots to build my portfolio, but I've never done a show.
How's the experience so far? It's exciting and fun, but it's kind of stressful at the same time. I've been here since 5, and I want to get out there.
What's on your iPod right now? Well, I don't own an iPod, but if I did . . . Queens of the Stone Age. Dead Boys. And Amy Winehouse.
Residence: Revere
Job: Punk-rock singer
What brings you here tonight? The girl I'm seeing is in the show. I've never been to a fashion show before.
What do you think so far? It's really chill. I'm a singer in a punk rock band, so compared to that, this is a very relaxed atmosphere. I treated myself and went VIP. I got the swag bag and a good seat.
Your outfit definitely has punk cred. What are you wearing? Kill City tight stretch jeans, an American Apparel T-shirt, and a thrift-store jacket.
And the headband? I've got to mix the street in there.
What are the pins [on the lapel]? I've got "Eat the Rich". . . It just says that. I don't really hate rich people. The other pin is from the name of my buddy's band.
Who are your musical influences? Iggy & the Stooges, Dead Boys, Sex Pistols. And Tupac.
What would you be doing tonight if you weren't here? I'm not sure. Possibly playing out.![]()
