While in Brookline, you might want to check out Wild Goose Chase (1431 Beacon St., Brookline, 617-738-8020, www.thewildgoosechase.com), where all jewelry is at least 20 percent off until the end of the month. That includes new pieces by designers including Ayala Bar, Michael Michaud, and Kristin Ford that run the gamut of price and taste (chunky mosaic pieces and botanical-themed jewelry to tiny pearls and simple sterling silver earrings). Some true bargains can be found in the clearance cases, where pieces are 30-60 percent off.

A lot of you bargain-savvy fashionistas are no doubt already shopping on Rue La La (www.ruelala.com). If you're not, it's worth a look. The site features premiere brand, private sale boutiques, each open for a few days at a time. Recent boutiques have included Free People, Via Spiga, and Dolce & Gabbana (which ends this morning); prices are roughly 50-70 percent off retail. The site is invitation-only.
