WORK IT OUT
With summer just starting, we’re once again steeling our flimsy resolve to get in shape. And we’ve got some help with Adidas’s end-of-season sale (so-named since fall stuff starts arriving in July). Select sweatshirts, Ts, windbreakers, and of course, shoes (including adorable options for baby) are 30 percent off already moderate prices; scoring some sleek new running shoes for under $60 can only improve our game. Adidas is at 1270 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, 617-864-0790. www.adidas.com

ON SPECS
Ponying up the cash for a pair of specs leaves us little to spare for much else. So we were happy to see that when you buy a pair of glasses or sunglasses at full-price at Vision House Harvard Square, you’ll get a second (less expensive) pair for half off. The store carries the usual high-fashion suspects (Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana) as well as lesser-known names including Ziani and Yakii. For sunglasses, there’s a good selection of Ray-Bans and celebrity favored Persols. The promotion, we’re told, will run through the fall. Vision House is at 7 J.F.K. St., Cambridge, 617-661-3676. www.thevisionhouse.com

PIECE OFFERINGS
West Elm’s extensive “Dash for Design’’ sale features discounts of up to 60 percent on lots of indoor and outdoor pieces. On a recent trip to the Fenway store, a king-size diamond quilt was $69.99 (originally $149) and pillow shams started at $6.99; a funky, chocolate-brown modular two-shelf bookcase was $219.99 (originally $279); and a low, well-padded dean sofa was $849 (marked down from $999). The sale includes lots of rugs and accessories (cushions, candles, lanterns, vases) as well. West Elm is at 160 Brookline Ave., Boston, 617-450-9500, and 6 Wayside Road, Burlington, 781-221-5626. www.westelm.com

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO SPOIL DAD
You didn’t get the memo that last Sunday was Father’s Day, and you’re feeling like a heel. Luckily, there’s a chance to make amends. The Naz Kupelian Salon’s triply indulgent “Metro Dad’’ package entails a deep scalp massage, haircut by the owner, and - gasp - a pedicure complete with honey and aloe-tinged detoxifying salts, a skin sugar scrub, and a cucumber moisturizer. The combo normally costs $155, but is $140 until Aug. 31. Naz Kupelian Salon is at 311 Woburn St., Lexington. 781-676-7791. www.nazkupeliansalon.com
