VINTAGE SALE
After 38 years of outfitting college students and other vintage seekers, Oona’s will be closing this weekend. (It opens under new ownership in August; how similar it will be to the current store, we’re not sure.) Tomorrow and Saturday, the store hosts a yard sale with rugs, racks, mannequins, and any remaining clothing and accessories, much of it priced at a few dollars or less. (If you hit the store today, you’ll find most of the clothing and accessories marked down 50 percent.) Oona’s is at 1210 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, 617-491-2654. www.oonasexperiencedclothing.com

BEYOND BED AND BATH
Frette’s spring sale is in full swing, with select items marked down up to 50 percent. At the Boylston Street store, plenty of terry bath towels and bath mats in assorted colors were marked down 30 percent; select men’s and women’s sleepwear was 40 percent off; and much of the bedding, including selections from the more playful, lower-priced Edmond Frette line, was marked down 30-50 percent. We’re told the sale will run until the end of June. Frette is at 776B Boylston St., Boston, 617-267-0500. www.frette.com

BOOK IT OVER TO CONCORD
The Friends of the Concord Free Public Library will host a mammoth outdoor book sale on Saturday with more than 20,000 books in categories including fiction, home and garden, and children’s. Most books will be priced anywhere from 25 cents to $2. Proceeds will help buy library materials and fund concerts, poetry readings, and author talks. The sale happens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Concord Free Public Library, 129 Main St., Concord, 978-318-3301. (Rain date is June 12.) www.concordlibraryfriends.org

SEASONAL STEALS AT STEL’S
Stel’s kicks off its annual spring/summer sale tomorrow, with most items in the store marked down 30 percent. Gary Graham dresses, Alexander Wang handbags, smart Nom de Guerre and Steven Alan shirts, and Lizzie Fortunato necklaces will all be on offer. Adorable children’s wares from Imps & Elfs, NicoNico, and others will also be 30 percent off. The sale will run for at least the next couple of weeks. Stel’s is at 334 Newbury St., Boston, 617-262-3348. www.shopstels.com

REASONS TO GET FIT
For those contemplating a gym membership now that summer is almost here, BodyScapes Fitness in Brookline is hosting an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday with free workouts, free Pilates demos, free food and juice samples, prize drawings, and more. Those signing up for a six-month or yearlong membership on Saturday (or at any time during the summer) will get to work out for free until September (meaning, for instance, if you sign up for a six-month membership on Saturday, you start paying in September and get a total of nine months). BodyScapes Fitness is at 1285 Beacon St., Brookline, 617-232-1010. www.bodyscapesfitness.com.
