Even if you’re not investing in a new wardrobe this season, stay au courant by indulging in the season’s newest makeup trends. This fall, metallics are big  —  on eyes and nails  —  as are strong, well-defined brows and glossy, gorgeous hair. The good news is, there are terrific finds at your local drugstore as well as specialty boutiques. And for a hint of luxury, Chanel has rolled out an array of striking nail colors that will take you all the way through the holidays.

GLOSSY, BOUNCY BLOWOUTS

Inspiration: Freida Pinto, Kate Middleton, Anne Hathaway

How to get it Now that the ship has sailed on marrying Prince Charming (William), set your sights on your own royal treatment: nourished, healthy hair that catches the light. For that, you’ll need your tresses to be well moisturized (but not weighed down) and sleek.

How to get it Add a layer of glitz to a smoky evening eye. A thick line drawn with a chubby pencil can be instantly glammed up by a finger pat of metallic cream shadow. Try a highly pigmented one paired with a shimmer-flecked liner and two coats of mascara.

Among the best bets: shades by Deborah Lippmann, Rimmel, and Sally Hansen.
