“Artist” is a broad term. What sort of art do you do? I’m a conceptual artist. I paint and do sound work. I show at the Barbara Krakow Gallery. I’m an ex-rock musician, too. I played drums. I was in a band that became famous after I quit -- Fountains of Wayne. I'd quit to do my art.
Wow. We’re still friends. We were at Williams College together.
Your shirt caught my eye, maybe the colors. Is there a story behind what's on your shirt, “End”? My friend and I work on a project called “End.” We take artwork that people don’t want anymore and use a chipper or a shredder….We basically make art mulch.
What’s your favorite Beehive menu item? I love the hanger steak -- it’s awesome.
