The reigning Miss USA, Crystle Stewart, swung through Boston on September 4 on a barrage of press events and invited a Globe photographer and writer to join in her jam-packed day.

Before hitting the press circuit, she grabbed a bite to eat at the New Balance offices in Brighton. Since image is a big part of the Miss USA crown, our photographer was asked not to shoot Stewart eating.
