Torn and Frayed

Posted by Courtney Hollands March 4, 2008 02:01 PM

Full disclosure: I have a thing for aging rockers. Something about Steven Tyler and his fabulous scarves gets me every time. And don't get me started on David Bowie. He is Cool defined. I swoon.

Enough about me. (I'll go back to doodling "CH hearts DB" on my notebooks now) Louis Vuitton apparently has a similar infatuation. Keith Richards appears in the designer's newest ad, shot by seminal shutterbug Annie Leibovitz:

The graying, palm-tree-climbing Stone looks positively disaffected in the disheveled hotel room. His battered Louis serves as a makeshift table for tea (whisky?) and a notebook. Sure, Richards might be a few brain cells short of a full sentence these days, but he still has major street cred (Necessary, in my opinion, as the last Vuitton ad featured Mikhail Gorbachev). Love it.

  1. This man is my HERO, there is definitely whiskey in that tea cup! He has more soul and style than anyone on the planet, a true inspiration. Obviously even Louis cannot deny! I'd love to design a piece of jewelry for him!!!!
