Happy anniversary, Tommy
You couldn't turn a corner without bumping into a celebrity at tonight's Tommy Hilfiger 25th anniversary party. After showing a collection in the Lincoln Center tents, he took over the gorgeous Metropolitan Opera House for a star-studded gala that featured endless champagne and a very loud performance from the Strokes. There were also oodles of models wearing Tommy's classic chinos.
I found myself standing back-to-back with Neil Patrick Harris and his gentlemen friend. I tried to throw subtle looks that would make NPH realize that he was with the wrong man, and that I was the one he should be planning a family with, but he seemed not to notice. Or, as I suspect, he was just playing it cool. Next, I introduced myself to Christina Hendricks, and proceeded to swoon openly. She politely humored me. My friend Joe then bumped into Jason Lewis (he swears it was a accident, harumpf!). I'm terrible at spotting celebs, but I honestly couldn't escape them. I held off on the champagne for fear that my celeb hounding would spin out of control. But I can honestly say that Tommy knows how to celebrate.
