And the most-requested celebrity hairstyle in Boston is ...

Allure did a survey of "top stylists" across the country to pinpoint the most-requested celebrity hairstyles in major metropolitan areas. Who came out on top in the Hub? According to Marisa Marino of Stilisti on Newbury Street, it's American sweetheart Reese Witherspoon's forehead-grazing fringe. "Her bangs are the perfect length for her face shape, and they're weighty without looking heavy," Marino told the beauty pub.
No doubt Witherspoon's precision cut layers and perfectly fluffed fringe are on our own celeb mane wishlist, but we reached out to some other area stylists to see what else Boston women are asking for:
"Everyone wants a 'do-it-yourself' look. Messy, but polished. For color, people are looking for rich tones like red with a punch, browns that really pop, and blondes that are golden. People want to be noticed. But our most-requested celebrity style would be Zooey Deschanel's bangs." -- Justine Piecuch, Master stylist at Jeffrey Lyle Salon.
"Long hair is always in and following Jennifer Aniston and her ever-changing classic looks are what to watch. She always has great hair. " -- Eva Mustafai, Co-owner and master designer at Salon Eva Michelle.
"Some women are taking a bold change for the fall and getting rid of their long locks. Inspiration comes from Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus, who recently cut all of their hair off and still look confident and amazing." -- Michelle Lee, Co-owner and master designer at Salon Eva Michelle.
"Men are going back to the '50s and '60s with tighter sides and backs with some length on top to play with. Think 'Mad Men' and Jon Hamm. Colors are also having more fun for the fall and we're seeing pops color on women, like Katy Perry. Blue, purple, pink." -- Jennifer Ng, Advanced designer at Salon Eva Michelle.
