Newton restaurant 51 Lincoln (51 Lincoln St. at Columbus Street) has switched to a four-course, prix fixe menu, focusing solely on seasonal ingredients. Some signature dishes, such as watermelon steak, will continue to be available for a limited time. Guests can also order dishes from the prix-fixe menu a la carte. Chef Jeff Fournier says he hopes to emulate the seasonal-driven philosophy of chef Alice Waters, who runs Northern California’s iconic Chez Panisse. The restaurant will also offer fewer reservations each evening, so guests can enjoy a more leisurely meal.
