Sweet in the heat

Wait! There's watermelon floating in my noodle soup! The ever-popular cold Korean naeng-myun ($9.95) does indeed come with thin slices of the bright red fruit at Misono Wok in the 88 Food Court. The large stainless steel bowl holds a refreshing cold broth that's tangy, sweet, and hot; a generous serving of buckwheat noodles, cucumber ovals, transparent ribbons of daikon radish, slices of beef brisket, and on top, half a hard-cooked egg. Ice chips nestled in the broth chill everything in the bowl and will cool you in summer's heat. Misono Wok Korean Cuisine, 88 Food Court, 1095 Commonwealth Ave., Brighton, 617-783-9888. - DEBRA SAMUELS
