Makes 1 1/2 cups
If you like, add 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill, 2 tablespoons drained capers, or 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley.
|1||package (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature|
|3||scallions, trimmed and coarsely chopped|
|4||slices lox, coarsely chopped|
|Salt and pepper, to taste|
2. Add the scallions, lox, salt, and pepper. Continue working the cream cheese mixture until it is blended. It's OK if there are chunks of salmon in the mixture. Spread on bagels.
