Usher is preparing a tour for ladies only. The R&B singer revealed in a recent interview with the Associated Press that he will soon announce details of his "One Night Stand" tour. He said specific dates are still being worked out for about 15 "intimate" venues. Asked why he wanted to perform a "ladies only" tour, Usher said he relishes the challenge. "There's only a few artists that can pull that off," said the 29-year-old singer. "I feel like I've had such a connection with my audience. This album, I felt like, was definitely the type of one that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women?" (AP)

Tiger's wife expecting
Even with his golf done for the year, Tiger Woods found something to celebrate yesterday: His wife is pregnant with their second child. Woods said on his website that Elin is expecting in late winter without being more specific on a due date. He has not played since his US Open victory in June, and two weeks later had reconstructive surgery on his left knee that put him out for the year. Woods's first child, daughter Sam, was born the Monday after the 2007 US Open. (AP)

Rockin' tribute for Paul
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will pay tribute to the "father of the electric guitar" this fall. Les Paul will be honored at the annual American Music Masters series, a weeklong event that begins Nov. 10, Rock Hall officials said yesterday. A tribute concert - artists will be named later - is scheduled for Nov. 15 at Cleveland's State Theater. Paul, 93, is hoping to attend, said Rock Hall President and CEO Terry Stewart. (AP)

Delivering advice
Lindsay Lohan is getting political. The 22-year-old actress took to her MySpace blog yesterday to post her thoughts about Republican John McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and the revelation that Palin's unmarried 17-year-old daughter is pregnant. "[I] keep hearing about the issues related to 'teen pregnancy.' . . . Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place," Lohan wrote. Lohan suggested Palin "focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden," Democrat Barack Obama's running mate. (AP)

"I think part of me would love to play a drag queen, just because it would be an excuse to wear loads of eye makeup."-- "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe, about his dream role
