Paula Hughes thinks that Italian honeybees make the best honey, so for the last two years the Boston resident has been importing honey harvested near her country home in Umbria. She's partnered with an apiarist who travels with the bees, trucking them south to gather nectar from orange blossoms and to Tuscany for the chestnut trees. Canonica Verde honey comes in orange, chestnut, clover, wildflower, and vanilla bean flavors ($12 to $14 for a 400-gram jar). Drizzle the rich golden liquid on yogurt, cheese (especially something hard such as pecorino), and pound cake, or use it to sweeten citrus fruit salads, vinaigrettes, and pan sauces. Available at A.
