On May 5, 1862, the Mexican army defeated French forces at the Battle of Puebla. The Beehive, known to celebrate everything (including Bastille Day), presents "Mi Casa Bee Casa" in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Gastronomical treats include charred tomatillos, shrimp and chorizo quesadillas, roast pork, grilled mahi mahi tacos, chocolate coconut flan, margaritas, and sangria. A Mariachi band will serenade at your dinner table, followed by music at 9 p.m. by Rafael Alcala. The Mexican pianist and composer has gathered percussion, bass, trombone, keys, and more for a program of traditional folk with a contemporary edge. 5:30 p.m.-2 a.m. No cover charge.
