A harmony of flavors
It’s a perfect combination - cider-marinated grilled chicken breast with a slaw made from apple and fennel. Smoke and tang play off each other in tasteful harmony. Add a slice of provolone cheese, a little red onion, thyme-infused mayonnaise, and pack them all inside a soft sourdough roll from Iggy’s. You’ll dine on a sandwich you’ll be thinking about for days after you eat it. Bread & Lily co-owner Ben Cutler says the sandwich ($7.25) has been one of the biggest sellers since he and his brother, Aaron, opened their cafe in Newton Highlands in April. The cafe also offers salads, baked goods, and its own homemade ice cream. In homage to Brigham’s, whose original shop was located in the cafe’s space, the spot makes lime rickeys on request.
