Frank DePasquale has taken window-shopping to a new level with the opening of DePasquale’s Homemade Pasta Shoppe in the North End. Stop by and peer into the storefront to see pasta maker Zoya Kogan carefully rolling out and cutting perfect pappardelle, fettucine, and linguine. You’ll find tempting dishes such as fresh homemade mozzarella or gnocchi and chives. You can also get ravioli filled with a variety of cheeses and vegetables, from ricotta and goat cheese to artichokes. DePasquale, a longtime restaurateur who owns Trattoria il Panino, Brico, and Mare, is no stranger to food as theater. His pasta maker isn’t Italian at all, but Russian. Still, she turns out fine noodles.
