Your taste buds won’t lose when 10 local chefs go mano-a-mano over bragging rights to Boston’s best burger. In preparation for a national challenge hosted by the Food Network and Food & Wine magazine, KO Prime chef Ken Oringer has invited nine hamburger heavyweights to a grill-off. In one corner of the All-Star Burger Bash are the simple, hand-pressed sirloin burger from Mike’s City Diner and Green Street Grill’s bacon double-cheeseburger with Russian dressing. In the opposite corner is Tremont 647’s grass-fed burger with secret sauce. But insiders say the one to beat just might be the Four Season’s famed Bristol burger. A ticket ($25) benefits Autism Speaks and buys a taste of each chef’s burger and a vote for the evening’s tastiest patty. KO Prime All-Star Burger Bash, Feb. 1, 6-9 p.m., Nine Zero Hotel, 90 Tremont St., Boston. Call 617-772-5821 or e-mail rsvp@koprimeboston.com; cash or check at the door. GENEVIEVE RAJEWSKI![]()
