|2||tablespoons vegetable oil|
|2||cans (15 ounces each) pinto beans|
|1/4||teaspoon Gulden’s brown mustard|
|1/3||cup maple syrup|
|1/2||teaspoon dried thyme|
|Salt and pepper, to taste|
1. In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the onion, stirring often, for 10 minutes.
2. Add the beans, mustard, maple syrup, thyme, salt, and pepper. Lower the heat and simmer the mixture, stirring often, for 10 minutes. Taste for seasoning and add more salt and pepper, if you like.
