The story of the Jews’ Exodus from Egypt can now be accompanied by gluten-free matzo. Yehuda brand Gluten Free Matzo-Style Squares ($5.99 to $7.99 for 10.5 ounces) are now in the Passover aisles of local supermarkets. This Israeli manufacturer produces a kosher product that, according to the distributor, will not be available year-round unless there is a great demand. The squares, in the traditional 7-inch board size, are surprisingly affordable compared to other plain gluten-free crackers. These are slightly salty, crunchy, and chewy at the same time. They’re quite similar to classic water crackers. Just add chopped liver. Available at Stop & Shop and Shaw’s locations.
