Serves 6

Butter (for the dish)
6 baking apples
Generous 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
4 tablespoons butter, cut up

1. Set the oven at 350 degrees. Butter a 10-inch baking dish or another dish in which the apples fit snugly.

2. Core the apples, leaving them unpeeled. Set them in the dish, stem ends up.

3. In a bowl, toss the walnuts and cinnamon. Stuff them into the apples. Drizzle with honey and dot with butter.

4. Bake the apples for 30 minutes or until they are just tender when pierced with a skewer.
