Apples come in many varieties and some of the most delicious aren’t suitable for baking. Baking apples include Ida Reds, Jonathans, Cortlands (a favorite of many because they stay white after peeling and have lots of flavor), Golden Delicious, Rome Beauties, and Baldwins.
