Draft magazine has just released its list of the best 100 beer bars in the country, and several bars in our neighborhood made the cut. Bukowski Tavern, Deep Ellum, The Publick House, and the Sunset Grill & Tap are all on the list, as well as Armsby Abbey in Worcester and the Moan and Dove in Amherst. Three of Maine's best bars -- Ebenezer's in Lovell, and Novare Res and The Great Lost Bear in Portland -- also made it. Conspicuously absent are Lord Hobo and Meadhall, both in Cambridge. Lord Hobo has one of the hippest rotating tap lineups around, and Meadhall has a monstrous beer list. Good thing Draft didn't include American Craft in Brookline. The pub -- owned by David Ciccolo, who also owns The Publick House -- closed for good Sunday night to make way for a tapas restaurant.
