Many bars will, of course, be running all sorts of Super Bowl specials on Sunday to draw in customers for the big game between the Patriots and that other team, the one that squeaked into the playoffs with a 9-7 record. Ducali Pizzeria & Bar in Boston will use the occasion to pit our beers against their beers.

Ducali is turning over all of its taps to Massachusetts and New York breweries. Representing us: Samuel Adams Alpine Spring, Harpoon IPA, Harpoon Ducali Ale, Harpoon UFO White, Pretty Things Jack D'Or, and Cisco Sankaty Light. For that other team: Brooklyn Brown Ale, Ommegang Witte, and Southern Tier Porter.

Six beers versus three beers -- seems a bit lopsided, no? On the other hand, Ducali probably doesn't expect to sell many beers from New York during the game.
