Newport getting craft beer festival
Newport, R.I., is getting a craft beer festival. The "first annual" Newport Craft Beer Festival will be held Saturday, April 28, from 2 to 6 p.m. on the lawn of the Great Friends Meeting House. More than 30 breweries are expected to be represented at the event, which is sponsored by Pour Judgement Bar & Grill and the Newport Storm brewery. Local restaurants will provide food, and there will be acoustic music. Tickets are $45, and proceeds benefit the Newport Historical Society.
