Notch Brewing, which specializes in beers with low to moderate alcohol content, is marking its second anniversary by releasing its excellent saison in six-packs. Notch Saison is the third year-round offering from Chris Lohring's outfit, joining Notch Session Pils and Notch Session Ale. Notch Saison, which is only 3.8 percent alcohol, boasts a fruity aroma that contains hints of apricots and apples as well as pears. Notch will celebrate its first two years with an event next Thursday (March 15) at Firebrand Saints in Cambridge next Thursday (March 15) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
