Jack's Abby, the family-owned Framingham brewery that specializes in brewing German lagers with an American twist, is celebrating its first anniversary this weekend. Two events are on tap for the weekend:

Framingham Anniversary Party
British Beer Company Framingham
Thursday, July 19, 2012 7:00 PM | 120 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01702

Cambridge Anniversary Party
Meadhall, Cambridge
Saturday, July 21, 2012 7:00 PM | 4 Cambridge Center, Cambridge, MA 02142

You can see the draft lists for both events by clicking through to those links above. Some specialty beers that will be poured include Bourbon Barrel Aged Smoke & Dagger with Peanut Butter and the debut of two new beers: Ginger & Juice, a Ginger India Pale Lager with grapefruit, and Brett Biere de Garde, a biere de garde aged in white wine barrels with Brettanomyces wild yeast.

"Specialty brews have become a big part of what we do," says brewmaster and co-owner Jack Hendler. "We get the opportunity to experiment with different ingredients and really push the boundaries of what lagers, and even craft beer in general, can be.”

The brewery will also be sampling 11 beers in its tasting room this week.
