In the shameless self-promotion department, I wanted to point out an essay I wrote in Sunday's Boston Globe magazine. Titled "Sidelining beer snobs", the story talks about a seminal week in beer. Budweiser officially debuts ads for its Black Crown lager during the Super Bowl, while on the other end of the spectrum Beer Advocate's Extreme Beer Fest gets going at the end of the week. In a nutshell, the essay encourages folks to try new things and to not be a beer snob of any kind.
