Boston Beer Week, 2013, takes place from March 9 to March 17. The week highlights the people, places, and -- of course -- the beer that makes Boston a special town to have a brew.

Lots of local establishments are holding events in conjunction with beer week. Below is a list of some of the best.

Friday March 8:

Saturday March 9:

-- Craft beer meetup at Cambridge Brewing Company
-- Taste 30 local beers at Kappy's in Medford.

Sunday March 10

Brewmaster Jack tasting at Social Wines

Monday March 11:

-- Green Flash Black IPA release at the Salty Pig

Tuesday March 12:

-- Beer bloggers' tap takeover at Stoddard's
-- Welcome back Nugget Nectar at Cambridge Common

Wednesday March 13:

Thursday March 14:

Friday March 15:
