Boston Beer Week events

Boston Beer Week, 2013, takes place from March 9 to March 17. The week highlights the people, places, and -- of course -- the beer that makes Boston a special town to have a brew.

Lots of local establishments are holding events in conjunction with beer week. Below is a list of some of the best.

Friday March 8:

-- Allagash Brewing takeover at the Publick House
-- Lagunitas and Left Hand tap takeover at the Lower Depths

Saturday March 9:

-- Craft beer meetup at Cambridge Brewing Company
-- Taste 30 local beers at Kappy's in Medford.
-- Boston Brew Tours pub crawl

Sunday March 10

Brewmaster Jack tasting at Social Wines

Monday March 11:

-- Samuel Adams social and brewery tour
-- Mayflower pint night at the Kinsale
-- Green Flash Black IPA release at the Salty Pig

Tuesday March 12:

-- Beer bloggers' tap takeover at Stoddard's
-- Welcome back Nugget Nectar at Cambridge Common
-- Joe Connolly of Craft Brewers Guild leads a tasting at Social Wines.
-- Backlash Meet the brewer/ Trivia Night at Brendan Behan Pub.

Wednesday March 13:

-- Left Hand pint night at the Gaff
-- MA Brewers Guild Tap Takeover at Flatbread Company.

Thursday March 14:

-- Exclusive beer dinner with CBC and Season to Taste
-- Beer Advocate Extreme Beer Fest kickoff at Bukowski's.
-- Red Baron cask tapping at Blue Hills Brewery
-- Boulder Beer social at the Lower Depths.

Friday March 15:

--Nugget Nectar Firkin liquid lunch at Meadhall.
-- Cambridge Brewing Company tasting at Craft Beer Cellar
-- Pretty Things tasting with Dann and Martha Paquette at Social Wines.
-- Extreme Beer Fest Night of the Barrels.

Saturday March 16:

Extreme Beer Fest at Cyclorama
