What better way to break up the work week than to get together with your friends at a bar, sip some cocktails and make art? Paint Nite recently started up in Boston and it allows you to do just that. The best part is you need absolutely no prior art experience to join, and they provide all the materials. Sign up for an event at a bar near you, and you'll receive step-by-step instruction from a non-judgmental, professional artist who guides you through a painting from start to finish.
Each event is hosted by a different bar and you pick the bar based on what you want to paint. For example, at the upcoming event at Friendly Toast, all the attendees will be learning to paint this....
They've just released the August schedule which usually offers a handful of options on any given night (and some afternoons). The tickets run anywhere from $35-$50, which covers the cost of your canvas, easel and all necessary art supplies. The events usually run about 2 hours and if you sign up for an August event by July 20th you'll recieve 30% off your purchase with discount code "August".
