New Summer Plates at Church in Fenway
The patio at Church is one of my favorite places to go during the summer. You can almost always get a table outside and it has a more relaxed neighborhood vibe than some of the restaurants on the main drags of Boylston, Beacon or Lansdowne Streets.
Whether it's one of the 7 Deadly Sins or 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, there are plenty of cocktails to choose from. My favorite is Greed made with Hendrick's Gin, St. Germain, diced cucumber, and a pinch of white pepper and salted cucumber to garnish.
New chef, John Rush, took over the kitchen this past fall and he is doing great things with his summer menu. Every component of each dish is well thought out and always made from scratch with seasonal ingredients. The pierogies are a definitely a must-order!
