From bellies to Zappa

Potbellies, a small and charming spot in South Boston, has changed its name to St. Alphonzo's Kitchen, explains co-owner Natasha Irving. The new name comes from a Frank Zappa song called "St. Alphonzo's Pancake Breakfast."
Apparently, something similar to their original name was taken by another restaurant in the Midwest and Irving and her husband, Peter, decided it was best to change.
The couple makes good, simple food in their tiny year-old eatery, which is filled with devoted neighbors and fans. If you go, you'll find baked scrod, chicken cutlets, shrimp scampi and other favorites. Most entrees are $15. And now there's wine and beer.
But no pancakes.
