I dream of McDonald's fries

Literally. Last night I dreamed I was eating a carton of perfect, hot, salty McDonald's fries. I was gobbling them as fast as I could, in gluttonous golden wads. People around me were trying to talk to me, but I could barely hear them. I was completely engrossed.

Today, McDonald's announced that the fries in all US and Canadian McDonald's are now trans-fat-free. Many other fast food chains had made this switch already, but McDonald's held off, citing taste concerns. (They tasted exactly the same in my dream.)

According to the AP story, CEO Jim Skinner made the official announcement at McDonald's annual shareholders meeting.

Also according to the AP story, shares in the company fell 16 cents to $58.62 in midday trading.

Ha.
